Captain America: Civil War (a.k.a. Avengers 2.5) is the most important film to watch before Avengers: Infinity War releases. It is the second Marvel film that is directed by Joe and Anthony Russo. Captain America: Civil War is the culmination of the past 14 Marvel movies.

The plot begins when Crossbones attempts to steal a virus from a disease center in Lagos. While stopping the robbery, Scarlet Witch attempts to contain an explosion. In doing so she kills roughly a dozen people. This prompts the United Nations to draft the Sokovia Accords. The Sokovia Accords would only allow the Avengers to intervene when the U.N. deems it necessary. Captain America believes that the Sokovia Accords would give people with an agenda the power of the Avengers. Iron Man, who has continually caused so many problems and wants to stop messing up, is very willing to sign the accords. After a bomb goes off at the U.N. and kills the king of Wakanda, among others, the political disagreement morphs into a downright battle between Captain America’s faction and Iron Man’s.

Captain America: Civil War is an amazing movie that is visually stunning, well-directed and acted, and it has a great story. The superhero battle at the airport is the greatest Superhero fight scene in cinematic history, and this film does an excellent job setting the stage for Infinity War.

9.5/10
